North sea fish Homburg Style

SERVES 4

  1. Melt butter in a skillet and cook slowly stirring well;
  2. add tomato paste till to obtain a pink color .
  3. Add 3 cups of water or fish broth with two tablespoon white flour ; stirr continuously. Add salt and two teaspoon of mustard yellow powder.
  4. Cook slowly for 10 minutes Add more water or fish broth during cooking, if needed.
  5. Cook, stirring, until liquid is a thick sauce; pour over the boiled fish. Serve with mashed potatoes and red cabbage ( the sauce may be served also alone with boiled white cabbages as in the below photo)
